How to enter Recovery Mode?

Hi Guys,

Today we are going to enter the Recovery mode of your Android or iOS Device.

Why do I need to enter the Recovery Mode?

Well, it is not mandatory for every SmartPhone user to know this, but still, it is important for a user to know how to enter his/her device’s Recovery mode, as it is used for a variety of different purposes.

Seriously, what purpose is it used for?

For instance, in a recovery, you can back up, restore, install packages, wipe data, and do some troubleshooting on your Android device. In iOS devices, it is used to update firmware and it needs to be connected to iTunes to enter the recovery mode.

OK, How do I enter my recovery?

Find your device in the following table. You can press Ctrl+F and type your device’s name if using a Computer. You will see the method to enter in recovery mode in the left cell of your device’s name.

Turn off your phone. Then follow the given method for your phone to enter the recovery.

  1. Moto X belongs to first category. Also, I like to reboot to recovery using adb command from PC. But that only works if you have a rooted phone.

    • Thanx for feedback Vyom. I didn’t mentioned about adb command because I was addressing those users who have never visited Recovery Mode before. I believe using a PC to enter Recovery Mode will be a bit advanced for them.
