9. Disabling USB Accessories

This is a new security feature, since many hackers or other people with ill intent might be able to crack an overcome an iPhone’s lockscreen password by connecting the device to another device via the USB port, Apple added this feature which disables the Lightning port on the iOS devices, if it hasn’t been unlocked in an hour.

You can access this feature by opening Settings > Face ID & Passcode and then scrolling towards the bottom of the screen and toggling the required switch to On position.

10. Automatic Updates

This is not as much as a hidden feature, but surely a feature which deserves to be mentioned. You can access it by opening Settings > General > Software Update > Automatic Updates. Once enabled, new iOS updates will be downloaded via WiFi and installed overnight automatically without much user interaction.

Of course, Apple is not going to stop here. iOS 12 comes as an upgrade to iOS 11, offering various features that amaze Apple users. All these features have only one purpose, to simplify users’ lives easier and help them keep the pace with the trends.
