COVID-19 and its Impact on Today’s and Tomorrow’s IT industry

Hi Guys,

Today we are talking about the impact of COVID-19 on the IT industry.

COVID – 19 is a disease which has its origin in China and was identified there as early as November 2019 and till date has killed hundreds of thousands of people but as sad this news is, it has a positive impact on the IT industries of the world, how? Let’s discuss.

Early stages of the virus

Even though the virus started spreading in late 2019 it was only declared a pandemic in March of 2020, and as it was declared, so the order for quarantine for infected and lockdown for the general population followed. Millions of people now stayed at home for the longest time in their lifetimes, but as one would expect they still had to work, so most of the IT companies made their employees work from home which was at first not as effective as being physically present at their respective offices but was better than not working at all. Little by little as the workers of IT industries were getting the hang of it all (most) other companies followed their footsteps and also introduced ‘work from home’.

Even though now it seems to be the only natural thing to do, it was met with reluctant views at first and these reluctant views were not unfounded but rather a reality for most people, for example, it was thought that since a huge population of workers are older than the first mobile phone made in India i.e. July 31 1995; it would be very difficult for them to adopt the technology of video conferencing and video calling and being effective at work at the same time; which if you think about is true, and it did pose a lot of problem at the beginning, but as they say “what is never changing is change itself” and people in a very short amount of time embraced this change [1] and were almost back to their daily schedule of working. But there was one change that didn’t go unnoticed from the views of people which was the comfortability of this ‘work from home’, even though they were practically present at work during their video calls and conferences they were physically present in the comforts of their homes which was a bigger boon than the bane of less effectiveness so much so that Google extended this work from home order till 2021 even if the pandemic is to be cured [2].

Then in late April 2020, people of all ages and races who were daily office goers and only used their tech (mobile phones and internet) occasionally and for entertainment, now use it for working and for productivity, in general, not just in some parts of the world but everywhere.

Graph of Internet Usage in India via Statista 2020.
Map showing the ranking of the Zoom Cloud Meeting in Apple’s App Store

This change can not only be seen just in terms of the number of internet users but economically by the percentage change in stock prices of top video conferencing app used during the pandemic, ‘ZOOM’,

Stock Price of ZOOM via Yahoo! Finance

As we can see the there is a total change of 231% and the price went from 38.45 M from April 2019 when the company was made to 225M today mid-August 2020.

Not only ZOOM but Microsoft which owns video conferencing apps like ‘Skype’ and ‘Webx’ stocks also skyrocketed.

This brought the change in the thinking of not only the common man but of big tech companies and governments because all of these tech companies and state-owned internet service providers were struggling to keep up with the daily amount of internet used by their customers. This in turn made them realize the importance and urgency to upgrade their systems for more and more capabilities to cater to the ever-growing internet needs of the population. Not only this but the cybersecurity aspect of tech also came into limelight when some video conferencing app’s users’ data was stolen which raised the level of awareness of cybersecurity and importance of it in the general population. [3]

Now everything above was related to work, next comes the use of tech for entertainment purpose.

Since not only offices but also all the parks and non-essential places were closed this led to the rise in boredom and physical degradation and as they say ‘all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’, so this time also saw a meteoric rise in the use of video streaming services and concurrent video-game players.

Netflix alone noticed a rise of 47% in its subscribers since COVID -19. [4]

Major Streaming Services across the Globe.

Video games digital distribution service by valve ‘Steam’ is one of the many online game stores which has seen a sharp increase in both google searches and game purchases; all the more reasons to continue their services.

Video games although looked down upon by the elders are one of the best alternatives to stress relief and to improve one’s motor reflexes and though this pandemic saw a rise in the gaming industry. Even without the pandemic, the industry was still set to rise but in a smaller and more consistent pace.

The diagram below shows all the different companies and industry which have a major role to play in the development of the games.

The Online Gaming EcoSystem

Out of all the industries involved in the gaming business, the only ones which saw a loss was ESports and gaming arenas since they require the physical presence of players to compete, otherwise, all these above-showcased fields, saw a rise in both – popularity and income.

This was all in the first stages of pandemic below is what’s happening now:

Present and the future

After the rise in the electronic/digital industries, both in popularity and share value, it only propelled its popularity, even more among investors and the other people who were usually against these platforms.

Since June, many medical companies started to work for a vaccine, that gave birth to large investments in the medical fields by both public and private firms including the government. The states started investing in their own indigenous medical industries and labs whereas private firms invested in countries with more chances of developing the vaccine. Here, India shines since it is home to some of the largest medicines and drugs manufacturers and it was in the mass media for quite some time; both because of the investment it received and the cheap prices at which they promised to distribute the drug.

And ever since the virus was discovered in China, the credibility of China has been falling, so much so that the U.S. and some European nations have started to oppose its policy and in that time many companies whose factories were set up in China especially electronics manufacturer have started the process to completely shift to India. This by no way a major blow to China, but a step in the right direction and might cost China a lot in the long run.

As time went by many offices, especially private ones opened thinking that the effects of COVID has started to diminish but were again closed by the authorities when some people caught the virus, this, in turn, highlighted the importance and the flexibility of work from home so much so that many companies increased their staff who can work from home permanently.

The entertainment industry especially the gaming industry saw a rise in its quality and content after receiving a huge boost during the early stages of the pandemic, and due to that, the industries’ value is still increasing rather than becoming stagnant.

The government introduced many startup and technological initiatives to take advantage of the available human resources. Their initiative to organize the competitions has fuelled the investment drive in India. People whose work took most of their time during the day now had an opportunity to work together with their partners to build a plan and to initiate their startup ideas. This increased the number of registered startups giving a boost to the local economy.

More than 1,200 startups came up in 2018, including eight unicorns, taking the total number to 7,200 startups, NASSCOM reported. However, the seed-stage funding of Indian startups has declined from USD 191 million in 2017 to USD 151 million in 2018.

Over 1,300 startups were added in 2019, there are over 8,900 tech-startups in India. And all of these are just startups related to technology; overall there are over around 60,000 startups in India alone.

What does this mean for the common man and to you?

Well, the world went through a phase of digitalization (by force if you will) and this gave a very clear view of what we can see in the future, where the money is and where can we see the most development in the coming years. If you already haven’t figured it out, it is the electronics department and the IT, both in the electronic hardware manufacturing and the software more emphasis on software.

The recent turn of events has put the IT sector in the radars of investors of the present and the future. And with more investment, comes more talent in that field, people being employed in the IT sector has already been increasing but now it will probably increase at a more explosive rate, even if the people are not directly employed by the sector; they will surely take more lessons and classes to increase their knowledge of this field; since it will be of huge importance while working especially online. So the general awareness of the sector will increase.

So what importance is this for the common man, well if you ever wanted to start investing in stocks then this is the time to be in. Many companies are forming and being replaced at this moment, there is an IT revolution going on so don’t miss the action. (Buying stocks are subject to market risk, please read stock related documents carefully).

Other than this, right now, it is also a golden opportunity for learners. Learners of every field can find any information and books on the internet, but as time passes on there will be a restriction on this knowledge as it will get outdated; so better be safe than sorry and start learning new things now.

Also, since most of the work will be done online at least this year, it is not a bad idea to invest in a good setup and buy a good PC which will work for many years to come and when it becomes outdated; you will just have to change some parts to make it as good as new.

Conclusion

You are at the beginning of a revolution; if you don’t take advantage of this time now, it will harm you in the future, both physically and capital wise.

Impacts of COVID-19 on Digital Industry

Hi Guys,

Today we will discuss how the COVID-19 (also known as COrona VIrus Disease or 2019 novel Coronavirus) will impact the Digital Industry as we know it today.

Impacts of COVID-19 on Digital Industry

After the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, we are witnessing a massive disruption in various industries. The digital industry is also not completely shielded from its consequences. The algorithms of various digital marketing companies like media, digital marketing, technology and others have been altered altogether.

The world has become global, mainly due to the extensive network of support from the IT sector. However, there might be certain retrenchment as clients will limit IT spends and outsourcing strategies. The post-crisis situation can be relatively better, for the future of IT Industries after quarantine.

There has been a major blow on the activities of the workforce due to impose of lockdowns on outside contacts and social distancing. In fact, the organizations that never allowed remote work are venturing work from home options. Such decisions are taken to safeguard the health of the employees and business concerns.

COVID-19 and its impact on the different digital industries:

Digital Marketing

Digital marketing companies have somewhat witnessed mixed trends after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The digital promotion for many products and services has gone inactive. This includes industries like tourism, hospitality, airlines, apparels, garments and others.

Alternatively, there has been a shift in consumer behaviour due to home restrictions. According to a survey by NRF (National Retail Federation, US), significant changes have been observed in consumer behaviour.

Out of 10 consumers, 9 of them have changed their traditional shopping habits. About 6 in 10 consumers are worried to go outside for fear of getting infected.  Almost 50% of the consumers ordered products online, who would prefer purchasing for stores.

As the community will survive beyond the crisis, digital adoption is undoubtedly going to gain momentum. The behaviour will be mainly shaped on two criteria-

  • The likelihood of getting infected due to mingling,
  • and swift modus operandi of the digital platforms.

Not to forget that online content is being consumed these days like never before. At this point, many brands are becoming sensitive to engage with influencers to tap their customer base. It is an excellent idea to promote essential goods and services to the customers through these influencers.

IT Industry

The IT Sector has also been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. There are many employees who are finding it challenging to retain their jobs and are giving up. The uncertainty in these economic conditions with concerns of recession are curtailing the budget of IT clients and slowing down new ventures. The trend indicates a strike on the employment level as well.

The industry has been rather benign towards its workforce by allowing them to work from home.

Though, the remote working locations might create issues with data breach and cybersecurity threats.

The industry, although remains promising for the upcoming times. Many IT companies will embrace and invest in new technologies like CyberSecurity. New business opportunities will evolve on platforms like clouds and other digitized mediums. Also, multinational companies will likely alliance with smaller IT companies to continue providing their business.

The current onset is temporary and the industry will soon bounce back. The IT sector is built on strong fundamentals that have the ability to absorb shocks of the crisis.

Media

The media that covers a vast segment has also seen the changing drifts. There was a sharp drop in advertising investment and it included social media platforms like Facebook and Google.

The worst-hit are the film industry as cinema halls and theatres are closed for an indefinite time. In the post COVID era, cinemas definitely have to reinvent themselves to approach the audiences and entertain them.

However, there was a renewed interest in television all over the world, mainly for the need for information related to the pandemic. It can be viewed in terms of Maslow’s pyramid for the survival of the individual.

Maslow’s Pyramid

Besides, streaming sites emerged as a winner with a sharp rise in the subscription of many platforms. It includes online media channels like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, etc. Even radio broadcasting gain listeners during the ongoing corona crisis.

Conclusion

The post corona phase will be challenging for digital entrepreneurs to get back into the standardized version. The sudden onset of coronavirus has definitely given a backseat to many digital marketing companies in the digital transformation game. With inadequate digital strategies, many businesses are finding it really difficult to survive.

Nevertheless, the future of the IT industry after quarantine will continue to rise due to the benefits offered by this sector. Advertisements and promotions will channelize other routes to influence customers. E-commerce platforms will also achieve significance on a different level.

While some of the changes are temporary, others are sure to become permanent. In general, the digital industry will continue to thrive and prosper due to less involvement in the physical medium. Interestingly, it has opened different doors from where businesses can carve out new ways for the future.

Battle 2020: Mobile Websites vs Mobile Apps

Hi Guys,

After a very long break, today we are going to discuss a new (battle) topic, that is,

Battle 2020: Mobile Websites vs Mobile Apps. Which will Triumph?

This is a debate that has been going on for a while but it is still relevant. Everyone has their own opinion about which works better. Both have amazing features but none is near to perfection. Do you just need a website to display properly on your device? Is it possible for you to have a great online experience without the use of apps? Apps do have some benefits though. Having the app logo on your phone reminds you to use it. Sometimes you read something amazing but cannot recall which website you saw it on.  Let’s look at the differences between the two and see who Wins the Battle this time around. Some experts believe apps are taking over while others feel a mobile website is enough.

Does anyone remember what cellphones were like back in the 2000s? Their functionality was so limited. It was like having a smaller version of a landline telephone in your hand. Well, we have come a long way since then. Let’s look at Mobile Websites and Mobile Apps individually.

Mobile Websites

Amazon.in mobile site

The internet has become impossible to ignore in the last few decades. More and more of our web browsing are done on our mobile phones. When mobile websites first made it on the scene, everyone appreciated the convenience that it created. Today’s generation does not always spend their days in front of the computer screen but our mobile phones are always at an arm’s reach.  Remember how browsing the internet had you sliding your screen to the side just to read the end of a sentence? Mobile websites were accepted by all as they allowed us to view the content displayed perfectly to any screen size. Designed specifically to be used on your smartphone, mobile websites are almost a necessity these days.

Read about Getting More Followers on Twitter.

Mobile Apps

I find mobile apps to be a commitment. Like Benedict Evans puts it, “Do people want to put your icon on their home screens?” The answer for most brands is, “No”. More often than never mobile apps are not free and have to be paid for to be used. Having to spend money on something that does not bring me joy is a waste. Then why is it that we have so many apps downloaded on our phones? The reason I believe is that most of the time, they do bring joy. Examples of applications that first came out included, E-mail, Google Docs etc. Mobile apps have come a long way since then. Some of the best apps right now include Uber, Spotify and Swift key. Apps have become part of our daily lives. With a mobile screen full of logos, it is obvious that mobile apps are growing in industry and popularity. Amazon makes more revenue through its app than their website.

Design Modo has an article titled Responsive design vs Mobile sites vs App where they talk about designing and building a good mobile experience via a smartphone.

Pros and Cons

As you can see both have their own sets of pros and cons. Let’s have a look at them.

Mobile websites pros

VineetKumar.me mobile site

  • Inexpensive – All you need is an internet connection to view the website.
  • Works on all devices – Be it your iPhone, Android device or Tablet, the site adjusts to your screen.
  • Easy to set up – More like, no setup required. Ready to use at any time.

Mobile websites cons

  • No offline access – You would be unable to use the website without an active internet connection.
  • Longer wait times – Depending on the website, and your internet speed, it might take a while to download or use the desired service.

Mobile apps pros

  • Offline access – Being able to play a game on my mobile device without an internet connection? Yes, please!
  • Less cluttered – This all depends on the design but most apps are less cluttered.
  • Quick response time – A well-designed app should have a quick response time and navigate between pages without loading for ages. It’s surely faster than a website.

Mobile apps cons

  • Extra expense – All apps are not free. I don’t mind spending $10 on a monthly app subscription but if I can find the same information for free on a mobile website, you know what I’m going to choose.
  • Requires a download – This is probably one of the most annoying negative sides of mobile apps. Of course, if the app is amazing, no one minds the download. I get so frustrated when I go through the trouble of downloading an app, only to find it crashes every time I open it.
  • Considerable size – Dear Facebook, your iOS App is more than 250 megabytes in size, can you please do something about it. *Swapnil’s low phone storage problem 🙁 *

We have now discussed the pros and cons of the consumer.

Let’s talk about Business

TechGlobule.com

Nowadays, every business needs to establish a mobile presence. When making that decision, you need to know where to invest your money. No matter which one is better, every business needs a website that displays well on a mobile device. 80% of Internet users own a mobile device. This is a huge chunk of the market one could reach.

According to Smart Insights, if you are not able to reach your audience through mobile search or display, you will miss out on business opportunities. The consumer expects to have your website fit perfectly on the device they are using. Not every website owner has caught up with this trend though. I still find myself staring at text so small and having to zoom in, only to view half the page. This is unacceptable in today’s world and you are doing yourself and your audience a disservice. Having a mobile website set up is not a complicated process. Find an expert to make a mobile website for your website. It is an investment that will pay off for sure.

E.g. TechGlobule has a marvellous mobile site, you can read this article on your mobile again 😉

Benefits of going with a Mobile Website

  1. Instantly accessible. You just type in your web address. No downloading required.
  2. Mobile websites can be upgraded immediately.
  3. Mobile websites are easier and less expensive to create and maintain. Price is usually included when you design a mobile website.
  4. Faster transfer of information.
  5. Setup is a breeze compared to an app. You need a domain and hosting.

Mobile websites are doing well.

Benefits of going with a Mobile App

  1. Works offline. You can read articles and listen to podcasts without an internet connection available.
  2. Dependent on the app design, it is usually less cluttered.
  3. You will have a direct marketing tool at your disposal.
  4. Build a brand. Every person who has downloaded the app will constantly see your little logo on the screen.

Many businesses are finding it costly to acquire new users.

What does the future hold? Predictions for trends in 2020?

  • Responsive designs for different age groups. Online experiences should be different for different ages. A 10-year-old should have a great online experience and so should a 70-year-old.
  • More Google Web-based Apps like Weather and Word Coach

Conclusion

However, it always has been difficult to predict the future, but mobile devices are surely not going anywhere. They will only get better. We hope that 2020 will take mobile websites and mobile apps to a new level.

Are you excited to see how these mobile websites and mobile apps will be improved in the future? What are some of your predictions for 2020? and which one do you think might win the Battle?

Give your ideas, opinions, and votes in the comments. 🙂

Tracking Technologies That Will Change the Future

Hi Guys,

When people talk about tracking technologies, the first thing that comes to their mind is the GPS (the Global Positioning System). It is the commonly used as tracking technology used in fleet vehicles and other services like traveling. Reliable technologies like fleet elog system from EyeRide also has integrated GPS technology.

However, it is worth noting that we have more services than just GPS, waiting to be used, when it comes to tracking. The future of tracking has a lot of potential and we can already predict more from the current trends. This article talks more about amazing tracking technologies, which we are likely to get in near future.

GPS and Beyond

Almost every fleet management company has some sought of GPS connectivity in their vehicles. They rely on rights to access satellite services provided by the military and other location service providers. The GPS capability is not going anywhere soon. In any case, it will get better by the day. In the future, people should expect it to provide more accurate data with frequently updated maps and more.

GPS system has proven to be an effective and highly accepted utility used by almost every person who is looking for geographic services. It is easy to use and most interfaces are straightforward. For example, Google Maps is a widely used by everyday people to help them reach their destination. The real-time monitoring of vehicles can be done via a web-based capability or through many dedicated devices. From the look of the things, GPS will still be in lead in this battle royale of location services.

Wi-Fi Location Services

As mentioned earlier, most people are aware that we have GPS systems that communicate with the military satellites from different states and provide with realtime data. Currently, there is little known about the Wi-Fi location tracking. As the new servers get integrated into the system, the tracking of geographical locations through this capability will be the next big thing.

Ideally, the Wi-Fi location can only cross-reference the data on the map and provide one’s location in real-time. This can only work perfectly in future when all the Wi-Fi servers in the world will be connected together.

Cloud Computing

Lately, we have seen the trendy use of cloud computing for data storage and sharing and many other untapped utilities. It is possible for people from different parts of the world to access data stored in a non-centralized location and manipulate it accordingly. Currently, anyone who edits the data will be visible to others. According to experts, the use of geographical location will be integrated and thus it will help identify where the people are.

Computers and mobile phones are capable enough to share their location when through the integrated maps. How easy thing will the things be since people will have numerous options to track others. It is anticipated that some of these technologies will even be more accurate than the current GPS.

Indoor Position System

Sometimes, people struggle to locate devices in their own houses. However, a technology called IPS (Indoor Positioning System) is taking shape where technology like radio and magnetic variation can help in detecting the exact location of specific areas located in the interior of a building and help people in finding and reaching certain parts of the area. You will no longer have to keep looking for your wallet or any other device, if this capability is explored and utilized.

For tracking systems, the future is likely to be simpler than we imagine. As much as people claim that their privacy will be lost, those people will surely benefit from this as well.

Google Penalties: Types and Tips on How to Recover from Them?

Hi Guys,

Today, we will throw some light on Google Penalties, which all webmasters have encountered at least once. Hint: One can avoid getting those penalties.

Google Penalties

Google has not been playing games lately (no pun intended) and has become very strict with the quality they add to their search engines. I think we should embrace this and try to comply with the rules that have been set for us to follow. Many webmasters are worried that their sites will be penalized and believe there is no way out. But, you should not let this demotivate you at all while running a successful website.

Traffic is important to any online business and that is why webmaster protect these numbers. You would be surprised how many website owners do not even realize that their websites have been penalized. If you are serious about your website traffic and for some reason are penalized, you can recover from it.

Reasons why your website might be penalized

Broken links

As a webmaster, you need to check that everything on your website is working correctly. Google does not like when readers click on a link that is not working. If your website has these types of links, Google will find you and penalize that site. If someone clicks on a link for programming homework, they should surely find a programming homework service website after clicking on a link that states that. Run tests and regularly check these links to avoid this type of penalty.

Duplicated Content

This is a big one for the search engines, because we are trying to constantly add new information. By repeating the same information over and over again, one can understand why this might be a problem for an already congested search engine. We are evolving as a people and therefore content writers need to come up with new and fresh work.

Slow Speed

It might not seem like a problem to you as the webmaster, but slow website speed is so frustrating for the visitor. Google wants every user to have a good experience when he/she is directed to a website. There are tests that can be done to check the speed of your website. You should do this on a regular basis, or simply go online and use your website, just as a visitor would.

Try this tool, made by Google itself, to check your site for speed and other features, TestMySite.ThinkWithGoogle.com.

How to fix it?

These are just a few reasons which are mentioned above, but there are a lot more for which you could be penalized. It is important to familiarize yourself with the rules in order for you to avoid breaking them.

Precaution is better than a cure.”

Prevention is obviously better than trying to fix a problem later, but let’s say that your website has been penalized. There are steps you can take to have the penalty reconsidered by Google.

You are going to have to do an audit on your entire website. This may seem like a major task, but your website is going nowhere with that penalty attached to it. You need to fix the problem and you can only do that if you know what the problem is. If you have content on your website that are generic and thin, you need to decide if you are going to get rid of it or simply do an edit of the work that is already there. Once you find the problem, you fix it and then you ask Google to do another test on your website and reconsider their decision. It’s that simple.

Conclusion

Do not let Google penalties take over your thinking process when you are writing content. Yes, you need to be aware of the penalties and avoid it at all costs, but if you are doing everything right, there is no reason to panic. Continue to run your online business or blog and put your heart and soul into it. You can make a success of this and should not let something like this distract you from your goals.

Do You Really Need Terms and Conditions on Your Website?

Hi Guys,

Let’s talk about those perky terms and conditions of websites, you often surf on the web.

If you are in the process of building a new website you might be taking a peep at other websites (like TechGlobule.com) to get a feel for what you want. You may seem that many websites have a terms and conditions page and wonder if your website needs one too. Technically you don’t, but I do suggest that you get one. Even if you are not selling anything on your website, there are still rules you would like your viewers to respect. If you do not have any set rules, they can basically do as they please and you would have no say in them not doing so.

A terms and conditions page can protect you from a law suit if ever a viewer wants to sue you. Things may not get that far for the average webmaster, but it is still good to protect yourself from such events. You are also able to clearly state the rules of viewing your website and what your audience can do and cannot do. If you are stuck at this page and do not know where to start, find a website terms and conditions generator. An online terms and conditions generator will help you get started, but you still need to read through it and tweak it to suit your needs.

Here is what you should include in your terms and conditions

Copyright

There are some content stealers out there and you have to be super careful. They will simply copy your work and paste it on another website. You work hard to produce this content and no one has the right to just take it. Even though the copyright section will not stop some of these thieves, it might scare away others. If you later have a case against someone stealing your work, you can at least say that you have a Copyright section on your website. Having no copyright on your website still does not make it right for someone to just steal your content, but having it is beneficial in many ways.

Privacy

I am very weary of giving my credit card details to anyone that does not have a privacy policy of their website. A privacy policy promises to protect any personal information of your clients and readers. I know my email address won’t be shared as well as any other contact information I enter. I do not enjoy receiving marketing information from companies that should not have my contact information. This is why I only enter it on websites with a privacy policy in place.  As stated before, this is just a promise and I have come to know some websites who ignore their own terms and conditions. It’s still a good thing to set your customers minds at ease and acting on it.

Governing Law

Your terms and conditions page needs to mention where your website is hosted from and under which law it is governed. This is important because each area has its own set of laws and it’s worth mentioning under which governing law the website operates. Individuals from your area may know the laws of the state or jurisdiction, but the internet opens up your website to the world. It is also just policy and best practice to enter this information in your terms and conditions.

How do I create a terms and conditions page?

Online Generator

You do not have to copy another website’s terms and conditions page with all the online help available. A website terms of use generator will be able to help you create a good terms of conditions page. You might need to adjust some of the laws if it does not work for you but you can usually request a custom one. This is of great help for many webmasters as it is so important to get all the facts right.

Legal Assistance

Sometimes you have to call in the professionals to help with certain aspects of your business and it is the same for a website. For many, a website is essentially their business and when it comes to something legal, you might want to get advice from the experts.  Find a good e-commerce attorney to help you with all your legal issues. This will always come in handy further down the lane.

Conclusion

Even if it is not enforced by the law to have a terms and conditions page on your website, it is better to rather be safe than sorry. In the event of something happening, you want to be sure that you have some form of protection. The online world is not always as rosy as you might think, but there are ways to make sure that you and your website are not involved in anything legal.

Have a link to your terms and conditions page on every webpage to make sure that it is visible to every viewer. Your viewers will probably never read this page and that is perfectly normal, but the importance factor is that you know it is there. It is not your responsibility to make them click on that link, but you should make it visible in case someone wants to know. Many website also has an acceptance policy where the viewers have to accept the terms and conditions before using certain functions. Use on these methods to start creating your terms and conditions page today. You will not regret it.

Truth behind "Why Snapchat CEO is not wrong?"

Hi Guys,

Today we will shed some light on the quick-tempered and illogical actions of media and Indian teens, yes I am definitely going to talk about this, without hesitation, because I know if you are a familiar reader, you know we don’t mislead people, and if you are a new guy, I have all the required logic to win you over.

Note

I’m approaching to teens mostly on this particular topic, because I noticed their rage against this, this might or might not be applicable to other sections of society. But if you think SnapChat CEO is wrong, and shall be punished, then you should definitely, go ahead and read this whole article.

What’s the Incident as Indian people know?

According to what a normal, average, informed, social media using teen of India, one day he or she suddenly came to know that the SnapChat CEO called India “poor“.

The after effect

All Indians started boycotting the SnapChat App, raging against the CEO, abusing the CEO, basically if he was within their reach, they might have physically harassed him. The SnapChat app has a 1 star rating on Apple App Store as of right now.

Approaching the situation

Now let’s see what’s really going on here, one step at a time.

What is SnapChat?

SnapChat is a fun messaging app. You can capture a photo or brief video with it, then add a caption or doodle or filter/lens over the top, and send the snap to a friend or set it as your SnapChat story, a 24-hour collection of all your snaps that is broadcasted to the world or just your followers.

But these are merely part of the many features within SnapChat. Yes, at its core, SnapChat is used to send photos and videos to friends. Your friends can view snaps for up to 10 seconds, and then the snaps disappear. While that’s all fine and dandy, many people are still left stumped by SnapChat.

Apart from this unique to its platform media sharing, you can just use it for regular chat purposes as well.

So basically, IT IS A FREE CAMERA APP WITH MESSAGING.

Where to get it?

It is available for Android and iPhones as well. I’m not going off topic, I just want you guys to test it, if you feel anything at all even remotely related to money. It is a bloody CAMERA.

But the news claimed that CEO said that India  “Poor” -_-

Yeah, coming to the main topic,  according to the article on Variety (US Edition) which starts like

“SnapChat CEO Said ‘This App Is Only for Rich People,’ Ex-Employee Alleges”

Now let me present you a number of logical arguments with ample amount of proof,

  1. Ex-Employee Alleges
    • According to Variety.com, Anthony Pompliano, is already been fired from SnapChat over a 3 week tenure, and has been involved in a lawsuit in L.A. Superior Court with SnapChat.
    • As per the news articles, Pompliano claims that CEO gave this statement in a presentation meeting which went wrong back in 2015, mind that he waited 2 years before revealing that.
    • I wonder what are the odds Pompliano is just making this up to turn the lawsuit in his favour.
  2. The SnapChat CEO Evan Spiegel
    • According to BusinessInsider.com and Forbes, Evan Spiegel with an estimated net worth of $2 billion, 26-year-old Spiegel is the youngest billionaire in the world.
    • So mind that, he is one of the youngest and smartest brains in the technology industry from whose company, even Facebook itself regularly borrow/copy its features.Take that Facebook. **Shots fired**
    • The app would not have been launched in Indian market if it wouldn’t have been meant for Indians to use, moreover it’s a free app and a bloody camera, which has nothing to do with the economic status on countries for God sake, use your mind.
  3. The Great Indian Media Circus
    • I have read about tens of different news articles on this topic, and guess what I found, only the Indian media stated that “SnapChat CEO said …” whereas all the foreign media where everything took place stated that “SnapChat CEO said … as alleged by ex-employee…”.
    • Take a look at the news cutouts in the section below.
    • The Indian media carefully obstructed the part which would make the news something which will enrage every Indian who reads it. As one may say, “The BREAKING NEWS phenomena” of Indian media.
    • But I wonder, if one is blindly accepting anything shown on news channels as true, then it’s his her own fault for being trolled by news channels. The news channels are just a group of people and they too have to sell news in order to earn their paychecks, every once in a while they will exaggerate some news, make some fake accusations, or do something likewise, it shall be the duty of an educated member of society to act with precautions instead of being irrational and using head-on hate speech on  anyone either outside or inside the country.
  4. Misfired Hate Sentiments
    • SnapDeal a totally different company, an Indian company, was victim to hate speech, because a few people couldn’t differentiate between SnapChat and SnapDeal.
    • Just take a look in the pictures below.
    • I’m not saying that people are morons, a few of them are maybe, but not all. What I am trying to say is that people with clouded judgement and irrational emotions can be extremely harmful to everyone.
What did SnapDeal did to you, come on, man, be reasonable?

Conclusion : A Letter to Indian people

Dear Indians,

Have you ever wondered why no one calls America “poor”, not because everyone fears the America but it will be an extremely stupid and impulsive act to call them poor. They won’t even blink an eye upon you and you will regret your actions shamefully.

On the contrary, In India, we make people like that celebrities, the so-called “Breaking News” of the moment. We actively make them feel as if they in fact have rub salt in our wounds. We are not poor. Not at all. But I’m sad to acknowledge that many of us are sort of stupid on our part, our actions do not match the level of education we receive, because it has nothing to do with education, it is more related to what we think about others and ourselves and our great nation.

I’m not saying anything against India, mind that. But the people who curse Evan Spiegel and feel patriotic about it, disgust me. I love my nation, for me it is the best, but that should not cloud my judgement or my actions.

No court has confirmed those allegations made by Pompliano yet, so stop harassing SnapChat.

Prove me wrong, If you can, with evidence or at least logic.

Written by a proud Indian who is sad because of irrational acts of his fellow society members.

A few pictures you should take a look at

By the way, people who are gonna comment that Facebook and Twitter is never wrong, let me remind you that Facebook and Twitter is used by people just like and me, they are humans and they can be mistaken too. So don’t, I repeat don’t trust anyone blindly, human error is present everywhere and cannot be eradicated no matter what.

If you guys don’t like this post, just explain me why, I might be wrong in thinking that Pompliano is at fault, but at least I can explain how I came to such a view-point. Those blaming Evan have no view-point are following the media like sheep follows a dog.

I do apologize for my rough language, it might have hurt someone.

Thanks for reading, let me know your views upon this in the comments.

That’s all folks.

Online Compiler- IDEOne

Hi Guys,

Today we are gonna talk about something which would delight our coder friends.

What is Coding?

Coding or Programming refers to the process of writing computer programs.
Coding is what makes it possible for us to create computer softwares, apps or amazing websites like TechGlobule.com. Your browser, your operating system, the apps on your smart phone, all the websites you visited yesterday – they’re all made with code.

For e.g. following is the code to print “Welcome to TechGlobule” in C++ language.

What are Programming Languages?

Just as different people communicate to one another in different languages like English, French, Russian etc. one can communicate with a compiler to create programs in different languages, or better known as Programming Languages, such as, C++, Python, PHP, etc.

Or in the words of Wikipedia,

“A programming language is a formal constructed language designed to communicate instructions to a machine, particularly a computer. Programming languages can be used to create programs to control the behavior of a machine or to express algorithms.”
– Wikipedia.org

What is a Compiler?

A compiler is a an already made program, which one can use to make new programs.

A compiler compiles our code written in a specific language (say C++), and translates it in the machine language, for the Computer (or any other device), which then understands it and makes our program run.

What is IDEOne and why should I even bother about it?

IDEOne is an online compiler and debugging tool which allows one to compile source code and run it online without the need of any other software. Just click on the IDEOne logo to start coding.

Some great benefits –

  • No prerequisites, i.e. other software needed
  • Free to use
  • No need to sign-up. Even though you can become a registered user for added benefits like extra 10 seconds of Execution time.
  • Supports 60+ languages
  • Always up to date with the latest coding conventions
  • Include sample codes for beginners
  • Share your content over the internet. You can choose your program to be public, secret, or private.

Are there any limitations, of this free service?

Unfortunately, yes there are a few limitations, but they won’t limit your coding potential unless you are a professional coder. Following are the limitations –

  • The compilation should not take more than 10 seconds.
  • Execution time should not take more than 5 seconds; 15 seconds for logged-in users.
  • Your program cannot use more than 256MB memory.
  • Your code shouldn’t exceed the size of 64KB.
  • Your program can’t access the internet.

Even, if you confront any of these limitations ever, you can just download your program, and run it on any other offline compiler.

That’s all folks.
