Today we are discussing how to change the default browser of an iOS device, that is Safari to any other browser, like Google Chrome, Opera Mini, etc.
How can I change the default browser in my iDevice?
First of all, you will need a Jailbroken iOS Device. If you can find an app named Cydia, then your iDevice is jailbroken. Else you’ll need to jailbreak it, try Jailbreaking made easy.
Then download any other browser which you want to make your default browser like Google Chrome, Opera Mini, etc.
Open Cydia, and search for BrowserChooser. Install it.
After installation, go to Settings > BrowserChooser. You will find a list of installed browsers, choose anyone, Or choose none, if you want it to be Android style, asking every time you click a link.
You are done.
Now whenever, Safari opened automatically, for e.g. when clicking any link, or searching via Siri; Instead of Safari, the link will open in your chosen browser.
Who’s the developer?
BrowserChooser tweak was developed by Ryan Petrich. He is one of the well-known Jailbreak Developers and iOS Hacker. This tweak along with other great tweaks are also available on his own Repo http://rpetri.ch/repo/.
Will it support my device?
It will most probably work with all iDevices running any iOS. But developers say it supports iOS 5 and above.
I personally tested it on my iPhone 4S running iOS 8.1.2. It didn’t worked all the time. So I switched to Browser Changer. But everyone should consider BrowserChooser first because it is made by a well known iOS Developer, Ryan Petrich.
In which Repo will I find it?
It is readily available for free on the BigBoss Repo as well as Ryan’s own Beta Repo in Cydia. Simply search for BrowserChooser in the Search section, and install it. Today we are discussing how to unbrick any Android device with MTK (MediaTek) chip set. We are here talking about every Android device, but I will use the word Phone for ease of writing.
What is brick?
Getting Bricked is a state when your phone does not boot up (that means it doesn’t start) and gets stuck in a boot loop due to erroneous, incomplete or corrupted system files. Your smart phone is no more smart and is as useful as a brick.
How can my smartphone get bricked?
Your smart phone can get bricked while Rooting it, or flashing a Custom ROM, or porting a Custom Recovery in it. It is a problem which can be faced by any person by accidental deletion of any important system file.
Or it can also be caused by flashing or porting any damaged file.
How can I unbrick my phone?
Bricked Android
Material Required –
A working PC.
SmartPhone Flash Tools (SP Flash Tools).
SP Flash Tools is created by MediaTek Inc. and is a trusted software.

Android USB Drivers
These are needed to operate the Android device via your PC.

A ROM.
A ROM will be required to flash and bring back to device to life. But remember flashing a Stock ROM (that originally came with the phone) will also help in getting your phone’s guarantee back; whereas flashing a Custom ROM (any other ROM) has a lesser chance of getting your phone unbricked and has nothing to do with its guarantee.
You can find it on your device’s forums.
Steps to unbrick your phone –
SP Tools 1
Charge your smart phone to approximately 50 percent or above battery level.
Switch it off and remove its battery, if possible.
Install SP Flash Tools and Android USB Drivers. Download them from above link given in their description.
Extract the stock ROM/ backup ROM from .zip file. Place the extracted folder to the desktop for ease of access.
Open the Device manager in PC. Go to Start > Run > devmgmt.msc.
Connect your phone to PC through data cable.
In the device manager, a yellow line would have appeared after the phone got connected. MT65xx preloader.
Right click on it and click Update. Browse to Desktop and click Next. A red box will appear, press Continue Installation.
Open SP Flash tool folder and click on Flash_Tool.exe.
Browse to the scatter File MT65xx_Android_scatter_emmc_PMT.txt in the folder of Stock ROM, which was earlier placed on Desktop. SP Tools 2
Make sure all the boxes are checked except USRDATA. Then press the Download button.
Then re – connect your mobile phone. You will notice some progress on the CPU screen in the form of blue and red colour.
After a while, you’ll get a Green circle.
Disconnect your phone. Plug in the battery and switch it on.
Enjoy your New and Alive smart phone.
Important Note, in case of failure –
During this process if you get any error, then try everything again, but this time, instead of using Download button use Firmware Upgrade button. Check all the files including USRDATA. Your Rom will get flashed. For any other errors you can ask us in the comments below.

Today, we gonna discuss how to Hard Reset various devices including both Android and Apple iOS.
A quick summary of Recovery Mode
ClockWorkMod Recovery
Recovery is a limited boot (start-up) mode, independent of your normal Android operating system. In a recovery, you can back up, restore, install packages, wipe data, and do some troubleshooting on your Android device. The set of features available depends on the specific recovery installed. Generally, stock recoveries (which come pre-installed on your device) are the most limited. They typically only allow manufacturer updates to be performed and remain mostly invisible to the end-user. Rooted Android devices can change their Recovery.
Why do I need a Hard Reset?
Hard reset can be very helpful under certain circumstances, like when we forget the password of our smartphones and are unable to open it, or when to want to sell it to someone and don’t want her/him to recover any deleted data. In these or many other circumstances, Hard Reset is the best bet. It is also helpful if you are finding some problem or a nasty bug in your device which was not there earlier.
You may be thinking about what a Soft Reset is? A soft reset is simply a restart of a device by cutting the power supply of the device; it is used in case the device stops responding and is frozen. In some devices, soft reset also deletes the user data. But remember the data deleted through soft reset is recoverable. And someone may be able to recover your files, intruding your privacy.
How to hard reset my Android Device?
I’m writing this post for all the Android devices at once, because even if the method of going to Device recovery is different for every Android device but afterwards every step in all the devices.
Steps to Hard Reset an Android Device –
PhilZ Recovery
Make sure you have made a backup of your important or personal data present in your phone memory and saved it somewhere safe like Micro SD Card or your PC.
Eject your micro SD Card from the phone, if any. In some devices, a hard reset may format the SD Card as well.
First, enter into the recovery using the appropriate method. You may find a lot of options in there.
Using the Volume Down button, scroll down to the option of Wipe Data / Factory Reset and press the Power button. The power button is referred to the Lock / Unlock button.
Select Yes–delete all user data using the Volume Down button. Confirm the option by pressing the Power button.
After all your user data is deleted, select the option Reboot device; by using the Volume and power buttons.
Congratulations, you successfully reset your Android device, as a new device.
How to hard reset Apple iOS Device?
Steps to Hard Reset an iOS Device –
This method will delete all the Settings as well as user data and your device will be as such newly bought.
Open Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
Your iDevice will reboot, it may take a longer than usual to reboot.
Congratulations, you successfully reset your iDevice as a new device.

Today, we are going to learn about a very useful App to replace the default Windows Search, known as Everything.
What is Everything?

Everything is a freeware app made for Windows Operating System by David Carpenter. Everything is an offline search engine that locates files & folders by filename instantly. It’s kinda better and faster alternative to default Windows Search.
How does it work?
Everything Settings
Whenever a user runs Everything, it creates an index of names of every file & folder residing on the Hard Disk in a matter of seconds.
Once indexed, it continues to update its index in real-time with minimal resources, which is usually about 40 MB of RAM.
Because Everything doesn’t index file contents and relies upon NTFS Change Journal it is unable to find and index files on any File System Volume, that is it may not be able to index all types of secondary storage devices. But you can try it to index any attached memory by Tools > Options > Indexes > NTFS > Auto include new removable volumes. Get a tick in “Auto include new removable volumes” option.
How long will it take in indexing?
It usually takes less than 0.00001 seconds to index a file regardless of its size. Most PCs have no more than 0.2 million files. So even if you have a million files, it would take less than 10 seconds that too on the first run. Somehow, it keeps getting better in terms of speed with usage, Or maybe it is only me feeling it 🙂 .
How much resources will it need to function properly?
A fresh install or run of Everything will use about 6MB RAM and less than 3MB of disk space.
Sooooo even if you have a million files, it will require only about 50MB of RAM and 15MB of disk space. Though you don’t need to worry about RAM, it is not continuously using your system resources in the background, and only when you are really using it.
Will it index file changes in real-time?
Yes, it updates its index of files in real-time, your search window will reflect any such changes.
Will Everything not index changes if it isn’t running in the background?
No, it doesn’t need to be kept running in the background, Everything updates its index whenever it is run.
Is Everything free to use?

Everything vs. Windows Search
Unlike Windows Search, “Everything” initially displays every file and folder on the device, and then limits the results as we type the file name we want to search or get.
Everything is way faster and uses minimal resources as compared to Windows search.
I personally use it on my ASUS K50C Laptop with 2GB of RAM, and Everything was about 5 to 7 times faster than the traditional Windows Search.

Portable

Only x86 context menu extensions will work in Everything. It will work better with 2GB RAM and low, that is 32Bit PC devices. But it can be used with 64Bit Devices too.

Today, we are going to tell you how to flash a custom recovery (Philz Touch) in any Android device with. Porting a Custom recovery is just a step ahead of this. It helps in getting more control on your Android device.
What is meant by a Recovery? Why should I use it?
Recovery is nothing but a medium or environment to change custom ROMs i.e. it helps the user to interactively change files in the operating system of a mobile device in an easier and convenient way. It can be compared to the BIOS of a Windows PC.
How to flash a recovery?
i) First and foremost, your device should be rooted before doing this. To know if your device is rooted or not, download Root Checker from the Google Play Store. To root your android device, you may prefer the Ways of Rooting post.
ii) Now you need to find your device’s recovery in your device’s forums. Or else you will have to port it yourself.
iii) Download and install the app named Mobile Uncle Tools from Google Play Store.
iv) Place your device’s recovery in root folder of your SD Card. (Just to find it easily while using it).
v) Open Mobile Uncle Tools > Recovery Update > *.img
vi) Tap “Flash Recovery”. After this step ,your device mayn’t respond for a while, it’s normal and nothing to worry.
vii) You will see a message “Recovery flashed. Reboot into recovery mode”. If you see this message, it means that you have successfully flashed the recovery image in your Android device.
viii) Tap “Yes”. You will be rebooted to your selected recovery. If you tap no, you will have to manually reboot into recovery mode.

Today, we are gonna learn how to get paid apps for free in an iOS device without jailbreak or use of PC, this famous or I may say infamous app is called Tongbu.
Why a post on Downloading Paid Apps for free?

And the only reason we are showcasing Tongbu, because it is a way to users who are willing to pay for an app or game, but want to try it first before paying their hard-earned money. Many of the times if not all, after buying an app, it seems unworthy of the money spent.

Who is the developer?
Tongbu, which means “sync” in Chinese, was a forum for cracked apps that has spawned its own tool for downloading pirated apps called Sync, i.e. Tongbu. It’s been made by the Chinese, and we should thank them for this app.
How does the app works?
Tongbu acts as an alternative App Store, featuring almost all the apps on the original App Store.
The only difference is that all the apps are free on Tongbu.
Will it support my device?
Yes, the app supports all iPhones and iPads, whether jail-broken or not. I have not tested it on an iPod, but I have a hunch it might work on it as well. It worked fine on iOS 7.x.x. and iOS 9.x.x. You will have to test yourself if you are using any other iOS version. Don’t worry, even if the test fails, the worst thing that can happen is that you will not be able to open the Tongbu app after installing it, in such a case you can simply delete it. I personally tested it on an iPhone 4 (iOS 7.1.2) and iPad 2 (iOS 8.1.3, now iOS 9.0) and iPhone 5 (iOS 9.0).
How to get it?
i) Open Safari in the iOS device. This only works on Safari.
ii) Open Tongbu. This link will redirect you appropriately according to your device and iOS version.
iii) You will land a site in Chinese language. It will have 2 buttons, one with an Apple Logo (that’s for non – jailbroken devices), and one with a PineApple Logo (that’s for jailbroken devices).
iv) Tap on the button according to your device > Install. In case you don’t know if your device is jailbroken or not, you can simply tap the Apple Logo button, it works on both jailbroken as well as non – jailbroken devices.
v) A box will appear asking tbsq.tongbu.com would like to install “@!#3.3.0”. Tap on Install.
Here, @!# represents Tongbu written in Chinese, and 3.3.0 is Tongbu version. You can install any version, whatever is available to your iDevice as per your iOS version.
vi) For iOS 9: Go to Settings > General > Profiles > Fuzhou Xiao Yue Trade Co. > Trust.
For iOS 8 or below: When opening the app, a message may occur asking you if you trust the app developer. Tap on Trust.
How to use it?
For iPhone users –
There is a slight catch in Tongbu’s iPhone version. It’s in Chinese.
Don’t despair yet.
It’s still very easy to use.
Refrain using Apple ID in the Tongbu app.
It will prompt a message to install 12-15 sponsored apps. You can easily cancel that by using the above cancel button present in the top left corner of screen.
No need to configure its settings, the default settings are well enough.
You will see a search bar in the top.
Search for any app, let’s say Need For Speed.
You will find a list of apps with icons to their right, if the icon is circle with down arrow, you can easily download and run that app.
These icons keep changing as new updates come for these apps. If you find an unfamiliar icon in front of an app, you may not be able to download it.
For iOS 9: Go to Settings > General > Profiles > ‘something ‘Co. > Trust.
For iOS 8 or below: When opening the app, a message may occur asking you if you trust the app developer. Tap on Trust.
For iPad users –
Congrats! most probably you got an English version of Tongbu.
You don’t need any instructions, you can freely explore the app and its settings. But in case, you got a Chinese version of the app and you need instructions follow the same instructions given for iPhone above.
After downloading the app –
The tongbu app will ask for a permission to install the app. Tap on yes.
On opening the newly installed app, it will ask the same trust question which you encountered while opening Tongbu. Tap on Trust.
You can see Downloads by tapping the “arrow in box” button on right side of search bar.
The first screen shows currently downloading apps. Swipe from right to left to go to second screen.
The second one shows downloaded apps. Swipe from left to right to go to first screen.
You can tap on any downloaded app to reveal 2 options, the blue option is for installing that game, and the red option is to delete that downloaded file after installing it.
Note for Jailbroken users
Jailbroken users can also use the same way to download free Tongbu.
